RockerArmAssembly.(Sheet 11 of 13)ADJUSTMENTNOTEThe following step is for locatingnumber onecylinder top center.1.Remove starting motor on right side of engine.Refer to paragraph 7-11 in TM 5-3805-261-20.2.Install engine turning tool on starting motormounting flange.NOTEThe engine is seen from the flywheel endwhen direction of rotation is given.3.Using engine turning tool and ratchet, turnengine clockwise 30 degrees. This action willremove play in timing gears.4.Remove plug (Figure 3-62).5.Using engine turning tool and ratchet, turnengine counter-clockwise. Look through holewhere plug was removed and watch for hole inflywheel where 3/8-16NC bolt can be installed.If hole in flywheel is passed up, repeat step 3.Go to Sheet 123-75Figure 3-62.
