SCARIFIER CYLINDER REPAIR - CONTINUED

DISASSEMBLY
1.
Remove and discard four seals (2) from scarifier cylinder (3) assembly.
CAUTION
Removal of bearings from cylinder can cause destruction of bearings. Remove bearings only if inspection
indicates replacement is necessary.
2.
Inspect two bearings (1). Remove if cracked, broken,

distorted, grooved, or worn.

Loosen cap (5) of scarifier cylinder (3) assembly.
4.
Remove rod (4) assembly from cylinder (3).
