Apply thin coat of grease to outside of

housing (14) and inside of cap (5).

Install rod (4) assembly into cylinder (3).

NOTE
Tighten cap with rod assembly fully extended. This will keep cylinder, piston, and housing in alignment.
10.
Install cap (5) on cylinder (3) and tighten to 450 lb-ft
(610 Nm).

NOTE
Perform step 11 if bearings were removed from cylinder.
11.
Install two bearings (1) into scarifier cylinder (3)

assembly.
12.
Install four new seals (2) in cylinder (3) with lips

toward outside. Lips must be approximately even with
1
outer surface cylinder.
13.
Install scarifier cylinder (WP 0248 00).
