AIR BRAKE PEDAL AND LINKAGE MAINTENANCE - CONTINUED

ADJUSTMENT
1.
Pump pedal (11) on right side of cab floor to drop line pressure to zero.
2.
Turn brake valve plunger adjustment screw (27) after loosening nut (26), until slight drag is felt when turning roller (25).
NOTE
Dirt and foreign material between pedal stop and cab floor must be removed to achieve proper pedal adjust-
ment.
3.
Vent all air pressure (TM 5-3805-261-10).
4.
Turn setscrew (7) all the way down after loosening nut (6).
5.
Pull pedal (11) down and hold until solid stop is felt at end of full movement.
NOTE
If pedal hits floor before end of full valve movement, turn valve plunger adjustment screw (27) out one full turn.

Turn valve plunger adjustment screw (27), if neces-

sary.

Turn setscrew (7) out until it just touches bottom of
tread (1).
8.
Release pedal (11).
9.
Tighten nut (6). Do not turn setscrew (7) after nut is
tightened.
10.
Tighten nut (26). Do not turn valve plunger adjustment
screw (27) after nut is tightened.
