Do not smoke or allow openflames or sparks near work area.Perform this procedure in a wellventilated area. Failure to follow thiswarning may cause INJURY. Wearprotective goggles and clothing whenworking with diesel fuel. If contactwith eyes or skin is made, flush withlarge amounts of cold water and seekmedical aid immediately.NOTEIf changing filter do only steps 1-3.1.Turn valve (1, Figure 6-66) in front, lowerright side of fuel tank, clockwise to shut offfuel.NOTEPut pan underneath fittings whenbreaking a connection.NOTEAll hose and tube assemblies mustbe tagged before disconnecting toaid in installation. Cap all hose andtube ends to prevent contamination.2.Hold nut (20).3.Loosen case (13, Figure 6-68) by turningcounterclockwise and remove.4.Disconnect hose assembly (2) in front, sideof fuel tank.Figure 6-66.Go to Sheet 36-93
