UNSTOW RIGHT LIFT CYLINDER

1. Loosen nut (Figure 27, Item 5) and slide clamp (Figure 27, Item 4) up right blade lift cylinder (Figure 27, Item 9)
approximately 3 to 4 in. (76 to 102 mm). Do not tighten nut.

assistance during procedure. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death to
personnel.
N OT E
Note position of shims to aid in installation.
2. Remove two bolts (Figure 27, Item 13), washers (Figure 27, Item 14), cap (Figure 27, Item 11), and shims
(Figure 27, Item 10) from right blade lift cylinder (Figure 27, Item 9).
3. Start engine (TM 5-3805-293-10).
4. Slowly adjust length of right blade lift cylinder (Figure 27, Item 9) to reposition right blade lift cylinder from
transportation position ball (Figure 27, Item 12) to normal operation position ball (Figure 27, Item 15)
(TM 5-3805-293-10).
5. Stop engine (TM 5-3805-293-10).
N OT E
Install shims as noted at removal.
6. Install shims (Figure 27, Item 10), cap (Figure 27, Item 11), two washers (Figure 27, Item 14), and bolts
(Figure 27, Item 13) on right blade lift cylinder (Figure 27, Item 9).
N OT E
Blade lift cylinder weighs approximately 130 lb (59 kg).
7. Remove four bolts (Figure 27, Item 6) and washers (Figure 27, Item 7) from caps (Figure 27, Item 2).
8. Start engine (TM 5-3805-293-10).
9. Slightly raise right blade lift cylinder (Figure 27, Item 9) and with assistance remove two caps (Figure 27,
Item 2) from right blade lift cylinder upper lugs (Figure 27, Item 3).
10. Install two caps (Figure 27, Item 2) onto right blade lift cylinder lower lugs (Figure 27, Item 8).
11. Slowly adjust length of right blade lift cylinder (Figure 27, Item 9) and center shift cylinder (Figure 27, Item 16)
to position caps (Figure 27, Item 2) onto bar assembly (Figure 27, Item 1) (TM 5-3805-293-10).
12. Stop engine (TM 5-3805-293-10).
13. Install four bolts (Figure 27, Item 6) and washers (Figure 27, Item 7) on caps (Figure 27, Item 2).
14. Tighten nut (Figure 27, Item 5) on clamp (Figure 27, Item 4).
