Electric starter motor weighs approximately 62 lb (28 kg).
14. Remove three bolts (Figure 5, Item 2) from starter motor (Figure 5, Item 1).
15. With assistance, remove starter motor (Figure 5, Item 1) and gasket (Figure 5, Item 3) from machine. Discard
gasket.

CLEANING AND INSPECTION

1. Clean and inspect all mechanical parts IAW Mechanical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0346).
2. Clean and inspect all electrical components IAW Electrical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0347).
3. Inspect flywheel ring gear for broken or missing teeth. If damage is found, replace flywheel (WP 0100).
