Install bolts as marked during removal.
1. Install bracket (Figure 5, Item 19), washer (Figure 5, Item 21), and bolt (Figure 5, Item 20) on engine.
2. Install six clamps (Figure 5, Item 22), three washers (Figure 5, Item 18), and bolts (Figure 5, Item 17) on
bracket (Figure 5, Item 19).
3. Install alternator (Figure 5, Item 1), two washers (Figure 5, Item 3), and bolts (Figure 5, Item 2) on engine.
Tighten bolts finger tight.
4. Install two bolts (Figure 5, Item 12) and washers (Figure 5, Item 13) into bracket (Figure 5, Item 14).
5. Install positive cable (Figure 5, Item 15), lockwasher (Figure 5, Item 11), washer (Figure 5, Item 10), and nut
(Figure 5, Item 9) on alternator (Figure 5, Item 1).
6. Connect connector (Figure 5, Item 8) to alternator (Figure 5, Item 1).
7. Install negative cable (Figure 5, Item 7), new lockwasher (Figure 5, Item 6), washer (Figure 5, Item 5), and bolt
(Figure 5, Item 4) on alternator (Figure 5, Item 1).
8. Position two boots (Figure 5, Item 16) over electrical connections.
