9. Reposition two boots (Figure 25, Item 2) to allow access to electrical connections.
10. Remove bolt (Figure 25, Item 5), washer (Figure 25, Item 6), lockwasher (Figure 25, Item 4), and negative
cable (Figure 25, Item 3) from alternator (Figure 25, Item 1). Discard lockwasher.
11. Disconnect connector (Figure 25, Item 7) from alternator (Figure 25, Item 1).
12. Remove nut (Figure 25, Item 10), washer (Figure 25, Item 9), lockwasher (Figure 25, Item 8), and positive
cable (Figure 25, Item 11) from alternator (Figure 25, Item 1). Discard lockwasher.
13. Remove bolt (Figure 25, Item 20), clip (Figure 25, Item 19) and clip (Figure 25, Item 21) from engine
(Figure 25, Item 25).
14. Remove three bolts (Figure 25, Item 12), and washers (Figure 25, Item 13) and position bracket (Figure 25,
Item 14) aside.
15. Remove two bolts (Figure 25, Item 18), clip (Figure 25, Item 16) plate (Figure 25, Item 17) and O-ring
(Figure 25, Item 15) from engine (Figure 25, Item 25). Discard O-ring.
16. Remove eight bolts (Figure 25, Item 22), two plates (Figure 25, Item 24) and gaskets (Figure 25, Item 23) from
engine (Figure 25, Item 25). Discard gaskets.
