REMOVAL CONTINUED
14. Remove allen screw (Figure 5, Item 13), bolt (Figure 5, Item 16), and clip (Figure 5, Item 15) from high-
pressure fuel supply line (Figure 5, Item 14).
15. Remove and discard tiedown strap (Figure 5, Item 17) from engine control harness (Figure 5, Item 12).
16. Remove two bolts (Figure 5, Item 2), washers (Figure 5, Item 3), spacers (Figure 5, Item 4), clips (Figure 5,
Item 5) and fuel rail bracket (Figure 5, Item 1) from fuel rail (Figure 5, Item 6).
17. Remove bolt (Figure 5, Item 7), washer (Figure 5, Item 8), wiring harness clip (Figure 5, Item 9) and spacer
(Figure 5, Item 10) from fuel rail (Figure 5, Item 6).
WARN I N G
Do not bend high-pressure fuel line to gain access for ECM mounting bracket removal.
The fuel system operates under extremely high pressure. Bending, loosening, or
retightening high-pressure fuel lines renders them weaker and prone to failure. Replace
any high-pressure fuel line that has been bent, loosened, and/or retightened. Failure to
follow this warning may result in serious injury or death to personnel.
18. Disconnect engine control harness (Figure 5, Item 12) from fuel pressure sensor (Figure 5, Item 11).
