SOLENOID VALVE (AWD PUMP DISPLACEMENT) TEST

Components with metal parts can cause severe burns at operating temperature. Allow
components to cool before performing maintenance on them. Wear insulated gloves, long
sleeves, and eye protection when working with heated parts.
N OT E
Care must be taken to ensure that fluidsare contained during performance of inspection,
maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of machine. Be prepared to collect fluid with
suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component
containing fluids. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Perform following procedure in order to determine if the solenoid valves for the AWD pump
displacement are operating correctly.
AWD pump displacement test is common for left and right side, forward and reverse. Left
forward AWD pump test is shown.
Operator must be present and seatedin the cab during this entire test.
1. Remove four knobs (Figure 99, Item 1), washers (Figure 99, Item 2), and right side panel (Figure 99, Item 3)
from machine.
