Do not measure between engine ECM harness connector FA-C17 terminal 20 (Figure 11,
Item 3) and terminal 21 (Figure 11, Item 2) during this test.
12. Using digital multimeter, test for continuity of CAN- circuit K990-GN between engine ECM harness connector
FA-C17 (Figure 11, Item 1) terminal 21 (Figure 11, Item 2) and all other terminals of engine ECM harness
connector FA-C17 (Figure 11, Item 1) and between terminal 21 (Figure 11, Item 2) and ground. There should
be no continuity.
a. Continuity - harness is shorted, replace rear main harness (WP 0188).
b. No Continuity - Proceed to step 13.
