Do not measure between engine ECM harness connector FA-C17 terminal 20 (Figure 7,
Item 2) and terminal 21 (Figure 7, Item 3) during this test.
8. Using digital multimeter, test for continuity of CAN+ circuit K900-YL between engine ECM harness connector
FA-C17 (Figure 7, Item 1) terminal 20 (Figure 7, Item 2) and all other terminals of engine ECM harness
connector FA-C17 and between terminal 20 (Figure 7, Item 2) and ground. There should be no continuity.
a. Continuity - harness is shorted. Replace rear main harness (WP 0188).
b. No Continuity - Proceed to step 9.
