Always inspect the harness connectorsthat are involved in the circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical
circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure,
and that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a con-
nection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic code
is Active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Perform this test only if condition is Active.
Test Step 1. Check for other active
codes and Front End Alignment.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0006), select
Trans/chassis 120M and verify
2200-14 is active.
2. Perform Axle Toe-In (Front)
Toe-In is Correct - Proceed to Test
Adjust (WP 0044).
Step 2.
Toe-In Required Adjustment - Pro-
ceed to step 3.
3. Using the MSD (WP 0006), select
2200-14 Code Active - Repeat trou-
Trans/chassis 120M and verify

Test Step 2. Test for Faulty Left
Steering Cylinder Position Sensor.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
2. Disconnect the steering position
sensor harness UA-C2 (WP 0009,
Figure 192) from left steering
position sensor (WP 0009, Figure
193) (WP 0169).
3. Disconnect the steering position
sensor harness UC-C2 (WP
0009, Figure 196) from right
steering position sensor (WP
0009, Figure 197) (WP 0169).
