Test Step 2. Test for Open Rear
Right Solenoid Current
Chassis Wiring Harness.
Below Normal - Continued
1. Disconnect the rear chassis wir-
ing harness connector FA-C20
(WP 0009, Figure 113) from trans-
mission ECM J1 (WP 0009, Fig-
ure 112).
2. Connect jumper wire between
front attachment wiring harness
connector U-C40 (WP 0009, Fig-
ure 190)) terminal 1 and terminal
2.
3. Using digital multimeter, test for
Resistance Less Than 5.0 Ohms -
resistance between rear chassis
Transmission ECM faulty, replace
wiring harness connector FA-C20
transmission ECM (WP 0137).
(WP 0009, Figure 113) terminal
Remove jumper wire from front
68 and terminal 54. Resistance
attachment wiring harness connector
should be less than 5.0 Ohms.
U-C39 (WP 0009, Figure 186) termi-
nal 1 and terminal 2.
Connect the front attachment wiring
harness connector U-C40 (WP 0009,
Figure 190)) to secondary steering
right solenoid (WP 0009, Figure 191)
(WP 0216).
Proceed to step 4.
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Greater -
Proceed to Test Step 3.
4. Using the MSD (WP 0006), select
2176-05 Code Active - Repeat trou-
Trans/chassis 120M and verify
bleshooting code from the beginning.
2176-05 is not active.
2176-05 Code Not Active - Trouble-
shooting complete.
Test Step 3. Test for Open Cab
Lower Wiring Harness.
1. Disconnect the rear chassis wir-
ing harness connector FA-C22
(WP 0009, Figure 47) from cab
lower wiring harness connector P-
C69 (WP 0009, Figure 46) (WP
0266).
