All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Electronic
Control Module (ECM) will log a diag-
nostic code and a warning will appear
on the messenger while the diagnos-
tic code is Active.
N OT E
Always inspect the harness connectorsthat are involved in the circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical
circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure,
and that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a
connection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic
code is Active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Perform this test only if condition is Active.
Test Step 1.Test for Shorted Clutch
Drive Solenoid Harness.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0006). Select
All Wheel Drive 120M ECM and
verify 0041-03 is active.
2. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
3. Remove rear front frame cover
from machine (WP 0224).
4. Disconnect clutch drive solenoid
AF-C3 harness connector (WP
0009, Figure 51) from cab lower
wiring P-C34 harness connector
(WP 0009, Figure 52) (WP 0200).
5. Turn battery disconnect switch
and ignition switch to the ON posi-
tion.
6. Check for Active code 0041-03 in
Code 0041-03 Remains Active - Pro-
All Wheel Drive 120M ECM (WP
ceed to Test Step 2.
Code 0041-03 Becomes Inactive -
Replace clutch drive solenoid harness
(WP 0200).
Install rear front frame cover on
machine (WP 0224).
