Test Step 2. Test Solenoid Control
Circuit.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the
OFF position.
2. Disconnect harness connector
FE-C2 (WP 0009, Figure 37) from
ether valve solenoid.
3. Install a jumper wire between
ether valve solenoid harness con-
nector FE-C2 (WP 0009, Figure
37) terminal 1 and ground.
4. Turn ignition switch to the ON
position.
5. Perform Ether Injection Solenoid
2417-05 Remains Active - Proceed
Override test (WP 0035) and
to Test Step 3.
check if diagnostic code 2417-06
2417-06 Becomes Active - ECM and
becomes active.
control circuit tests OK, proceed to
step 6.
6. Remove jumper wire from FE-C2
(WP 0009, Figure 37) terminal 1
and ground.
7. Install a jumper wire between
ether valve solenoid harness
connector FE-C2 (WP 0009,
Figure 37) terminal 1 and terminal
2.
8. Turn ignition switch to the ON
position.
2417-05 Remains Active - Proceed
9. Perform Ether Injection Solenoid
to Test Step 3.
Override test (WP 0035) and
check if diagnostic code 2417-06
2417-06 Becomes Active - Ether
becomes active.
Injection Solenoid faulty, replace ether
starting valve (WP 0122).
Test Step 3. Fuel Wiring Harness
Test.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
