Tighten nut (8) to a torque of 150 lb. ft. (205 N•m) withspanner wrench.(5) Adjust shim pack thickness to provide end play betweenhousings of ....000 to .002 in. (0.00 to 0.06 mm)(6) Install retainer with bevel toward sprocket as shown2. Turn sprocket (7) to put the bearings in their seats.3. Hit the hub of sprocket (7) with a large punch and a hammer.4. Repeat Steps 1, 2 and 3 until nut (8) does not turn when itis tightened.5. Loosen nut (8).6. Tighten nut (8) to a torque of 100 lb. ft. (135 N•m)7. If nut (5) is in a locking position, install the axle, retainer (9)and bolts.8. If nut (8) is not in a locking position, tighten the nut to thenext nearest locking position.
