Removecoupling (3).Turn the transmission on its end with tool(E).Remove bolt (6) and retainer (7) that holdthe idler shaft Remove bolts (4) that holdcages (5) to the cover.Install two 3/8”-16 NC forcing screws ineach cage. Remove the cages and the shimswith the forcing screws.Remove two O-ring seals (12) from each ofthe cages. Remove the bearing cup fromeach cage.Remove guide (10) from the input shaft.Remove bolts (9) and the lockwashers thathold cage (11) to the cover.Install two 3/8”- 16 NC forcing screws incage (11). Remove the cage and the shims.Remove the bearing cup from the cage.Remove bolts (8). Install three 1/2’-13 NCforcing screws in the cover. Lift the coverfrom the transmission case with the forcingscrews.Install two 3/8”-16 NC forged eyebolts inthe cover. Fasten a hoist to the eyebolts.Remove the cover. Weight is 74 lb. (34 kg).2-107
