1. Install a new seal in each end of the wheel lean
bar with tooling (A). Install the seal with the lip
toward the outside and even with the outside
surface of the wheel lean bar.
2. Install a new bearing in each end of the wheel lean
bar with tooling (B).
CAUTION
Tooling (B) must be used to install the bearings to
prevent damage.
3. Install another new seal in each end of the wheel
lean bar with tooling (A). Install the seal with the lip
toward the outside and even with the outside
surface of the wheel lean bar.
4. Fasten a hoist to wheel lean bar (1). Put it in
position on the machine. Install the lock pin in the
wheel lean bar and the front axle.
5. Put the wheel lean arms in alignment with the
wheel lean bar. Install pins (2) and (3) in the wheel
lean bar. Make sure the groove in the pins is in
alignment with the groove in the wheel lean arms.
Install the lock, bolt, washer and nut in each wheel
lean arm and pin. Tighten the bolts to a torque of
185 + 10 lb.ft. (254 + 14 N.m).
6. Install the retainers and the bolts that hold the
retainers to pins (2) and (3). Shims must be used
between the retainers and the pins to give a .030
in. (0.76 mm) gap between the retainer and the
wheel lean bar.
7. Remove tooling (C). Lift the machine enough to
