(Sheet 5 of 6)INSTALLATION1.Install two 5/8-11NC eyebolts inplanetary housing (25, Figure14-38).2.Install hoist and sling on two5/8-11NC eyebolts and liftplanetary housing (25).Be sure that the parkingbrake lever enters the notchin the housing when thetransmission is put intoposition in the transmissioncase.3.Install planetary housing (25)into transmission case being sureparking brake lever on planetaryhousing (25) enters notch intransmission case.4.Remove two 5/8-11NC eyebolts andhoist and sling.5.Install two bolts (24) and newpreformed packings (23, 22 and21, Figure 14-37) in planetaryhousing (25) of transmissioncase.6.Install two 1/2-13NC eyebolts andnuts on output flange in trans-mission.7.Install hoist and sling to two1/2-13NC eyebolts, turn trans-mission to side and lift andplace transmission on trans-mission stand (Figure 14-36).8.Install transmission standmounting bolts to transmission.9.Remove hoist and sling, two1/2-13NC eyebolts and nuts.Go to Sheet 6CAUTIONFigure 14-37.Figure 14-36.14-27
