Tighten bolts (16) hand-tight only.For proper final assembly, ball inside capmust have free play (clearance) of 0.015 to0.045 inch after bolts are fully tightened.Failure to obtain the correct clearancecould result in damage to the vehicle.8.Tighten two bolts (16) evenly only until thereis no free play (clearance) between the balland cap (18). Do not overtighten.9.Examine cap (18) and sleeve (20, Figure17-69) from the side.
