6. Position cable boot (Figure 4, Item 14) aside.
7. Remove nut (Figure 4, Item 13), washer (Figure 4, Item 12), and negative battery cable (Figure 4, Item 15)
from secondary steering pump motor (Figure 4, Item 16).
8. Position negative battery cable (Figure 4, Item 15) aside.
9. Position cable boot (Figure 4, Item 7) aside.
10. Remove nut (Figure 4, Item 2), washer (Figure 4, Item 1), and positive battery cable (Figure 4, Item 3) from
secondary steering pump motor (Figure 4, Item 16).
11. Position positive battery cable (Figure 4, Item 3) aside.

Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death to
personnel.
N OT E
Secondary steering pump weighs approximately 60 lb (27 kg).
12. With assistance, support secondary steering pump motor (Figure 4, Item 16) and remove two bolts (Figure 4,
Item 5), and washers (Figure 4, Item 4) from upper secondary steering pump motor brackets (Figure 4, Item 6).
13. With assistance, support secondary steering pump motor (Figure 4, Item 16) and remove two bolts (Figure 4,
Item 9), nuts (Figure 4, Item 10), four washers (Figure 4, Item 8), clamp (Figure 4, Item 11), and upper
secondary steering pump motor brackets (Figure 4, Item 6) from secondary steering pump motor.
