Diesel fuel is combustible and an irritant. Skinand eye protection is required. Ensure work
area is well ventilated.
Keep away from open flame and other ignition sources.
When servicing this machine, performing mainenance, or disposing of materials such as

engine coolant, hydraulic fluid, lubricants, battery acids or batteries, and CARC paint,
consult your unit/local hazardous waste disposal center or safety office for local regulatory
guidance. If further information is needed, please contact The Army Environmental Hotline

Failure to follow these warnings may cause injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Fuel tank needs to be drained only when replacing or removing the fuel supply line.
1. Position drain pan under fuel tank drain plug (Figure 1, Item 1),

Do not remove adapter from fuel tank when removing drain plug. Flow of fuel from fuel
tank will not be controllable if adapter is removed. Failure to follow this warning may result
in injury to personnel.
2. Slowly open fuel tank drain plug (Figure 1, Item 1) to allow fuel to drain.
3. Tighten fuel tank drain plug (Figure 1, Item 1).
