New fuel injection pumps ae supplied locked in the correct position. DO NOT unlock the

fuel injection pump before installation.
If fuel injection pump timing has been lost, reer to WP 0035 to reset fuel injection pump
f
timing.
1. Lubricate O-ring (Figure 10, Item 2) with O-ring assembly compound.
2. Install new O-ring (Figure 10, Item 2) on fuel injection pump (Figure 10, Item 1).
3. Install fuel injection pump (Figure 10, Item 1) on front housing (Figure 10, Item 3).
4. Install three bolts (Figure 10, Item 5) and new sealing washers (Figure 10, Item 4) on fuel injection pump
(Figure 10, Item 1). Torque bolts to 18 lb-ft (25 Nm).
N OT E
Install fuel injection pump gear in alignment with timing marks made during removal.
5. Install fuel injection pump gear (Figure 11, Item 2) on fuel injection pump shaft (Figure 11, Item 1).
6. Install nut (Figure 11, Item 4) and new lockwasher (Figure 11, Item 3) on fuel injection pump shaft (Figure 11,
Item 1). Torque nut to 18 lb-ft (25 Nm).
