DRAINING CONTINUED
WARN I N G
DO NOT service cooling system unless engine has cooled.
DO NOT open valves when engine is hot. Allow engine to cool down.
Engine coolant used in the performance of mantenance can be very slippery. Immediately
i
wipe up any spills.
Wear effective eye, hand, and skinprotection when handling coolants.
When servicing this machine, performing mainenance, or disposing of materials such as
t
engine coolant, hydraulic fluid, lubricants, battery acids or batteries, and CARC paint,
consult your unit/local hazardous waste disposal center or safety office for local regulatory
guidance. If further information is needed, please contact The Army Environmental Hotline
at 1-800-872-3845.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or serious burns to personnel.
3. Position approved container under drain valves (Figure 3, Item 1).
4. Open two drain valves (Figure 3, Item 1) and allow engine coolant to drain.
