3. Remove engine air cleaner element (TM 5-3805-293-10).
4. Inspect engine air cleaner element (TM 5-3805-293-10) (Figure 2, Item 1) for dirt tracks on inside (clean side)
of engine air cleaner element.
a.
If dirt tracks found, contaminants are flowing past engine air cleaner element and/or seal for engine air
cleaner element. Replace engine air cleaner element (TM 5-3805-293-10).
b. If dirt tracks not found, install air cleaner element (TM 5-3805-293-10). Proceed to step 5.
