0168-00 Electrical System
System Response:
Voltage High
ECM will log diagnostic code. A
warning will appear on instrument
panel.
Possible Performance Effect:
None.

Each module will have a battery voltageinput, an ignition switch voltage
input, and a ground circuit.
The cause of an intermittent power supply to an (ECM) may occur on
either positive side or negative side of battery circuits to affected
module. The connections for the un-switched battery(+) positive are
routed through a dedicated protection device (circuit breaker) on the
machine. Faults such as intermittent shutdowns could be caused by
machine wiring.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0006). Select
Engine ECM C6.6 120M and
verify 0168-00 is active.
2. Perform Alternator and Charging
Alternator Voltage Too High -
Replace alternator (WP 0094).
System Tests (WP 0040).
