1. There are six electro-mechanical fuel injectors mounted on the cylinder head. The fuel is injected as a very fine
spray to the cylinder through the orifices in the fuel injector nozzle.

2. The fuel tank has a 100 gal. (378.5 L) capacity.
3. The fuel transfer pump is mounted on the fuel injector pump at the forward left side of the engine. The fuel
transfer pump draws fuel from the fuel tank through the inline primary fuel filter and pushes it through the
secondary filter at pressures ranging from 58 to 72.5 psi (400 to 500 kPa). From there, the fuel goes to the
injection pump.
