STEERING CONTINUED
5. MACHINE TURNS SLOWLY IN ONE DIRECTION.
Step 1.
Check for oil leaks at steering cylinders.
a.
If leaks are found, notify Field Level Maintenance.
b.
If no leaks are found and problem persists, go to Step 2.
Step 2.
Check hydraulic oil level (LO 5-3805-293-13).
a.
Add hydraulic fluid as necessary (LO 5-3805-293-13).
b.
If problem persists, notify Field Level Maintenance.
6. STEERING IS ERRATIC.
Step 1.
Check hydraulic fluid level (LO 5-3805-293-13).
a.
Add hydraulic fluid as necessary (LO 5-3805-293-13).
b.
If problem persists, go to Step 2.
Step 2.
Check for air bubbles in hydraulic reservoir.
If bubbles are found, notify Field Level Maintenance.
TRANSMISSION
N OT E
Before checking oil level, ensure machine is parked on level ground, parking brake is engaged,
transmission control switch is in the NEUTRAL position, and the engine is warmed up and at low
idle.
1. SLOW OR ERRATIC TRANSMISSION ENGAGEMENT.
Step 1.
Check transmission fluid level (LO 5-3805-293-13).
a.
Add fluid as necessary (LO 5-3805-293-13).
b.
If problem persists, notify Field Level Maintenance.
2. TRANSMISSION DOES NOT OPERATE IN ANY GEAR.
Step 1.
Check transmission fluid level (LO 5-3805-293-13).
a.
Add fluid as necessary (LO 5-3805-293-13).
b.
If problem persists, go to Step 2.
Step 2.
Check circuit breakers (WP 0018).
a.
Reset circuit breakers (WP 0018).
b.
If problem persists, notify Field Level Maintenance.
