HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

Wear safety goggles when performing any hydraulic maintenance procedures. Failure to follow
this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
It is normal for hydraulic functions to operate slowly when hydraulic oil is very cold (less than 32F
(0C). Allow machine additional time to warm up if required.
1. TRAVEL TIME FOR BLADE LIFT CYLINDERS IS SLOW, HYDRAULIC OIL TEMPERATURE EQUAL TO
OR GREATER THAN 32F (0C).
Step 1.
Check blade hydraulic cylinder for buildup of debris.
a.
Remove debris.
b.
If problem persists, go to Step 2.
Step 2.
Check hydraulic fluid level (LO 5-3805-293-13).
a.
Add hydraulic fluid as necessary (LO 5-3805-293-13).
b.
If problem persists, notify Field Level Maintenance.
2. TRAVEL TIME FOR SCARIFIER IS SLOW, HYDRAULIC OIL TEMPERATURE EQUAL TO OR GREATER
THAN 32F (0C).
Step 1.
Check scarifier area for buildup of debris.
a.
Remove debris.
b.
If problem persists, go to Step 2.
Step 2.
Check hydraulic fluid level (LO 5-3805-293-13).
a.
Add hydraulic fluid as necessary (LO 5-3805-293-13).
b.
If problem persists, notify Field Level Maintenance.
