3. Indicator, Master Fault Light and Fault Alarm
A. Engine Oil Pressure
The engine oil pressure circuit is activated by a normally open 9G8010 Pressure
Switch that is installed in the rear of the engine block and makes a measurement of
engine oil pressure. The switch is closed if the oil pressure is above approximately
16 psi (110 kPa). If the oil pressure falls below approximately 9 psi (60 kPa), the
switch opens and the engine oil pressure indicator on the operator panel flashes ON
and OFF. The operator panel also sends current to make the master fault light flash
ON and OFF, and if the fuel pressure switch is open (engine running), sends current
to activate the fault alarm.
The engine oil pressure circuit connects to contact 5 of the operator panel.
Contact 11 of the operator panel goes to the master fault light and contact 10 goes to
the fault alarm.
