AIR DRYER
Before any work is done on the air dryer, move the
machine to a smooth horizontal surface. Install the
anti-pivot link and lower all implements to the
ground. Make sure the transmission control lock
and parking/emergency brake lever Is in the PARK
position. Keep all other personnel away from the
machine. Put blocks in front of and behind the
wheels. Release the air pressure from both sections
of the air tank before any lines are disconnected.
NOTE: To better show the disassembly and assembly of
the air dryer, it has been removed from the machine.

Disconnect all three lines from the air dryer and
remove the heating element.
2.
Remove two jam nuts (l) and washer (2) from cap
(3).
3.
Remove cap (3) from housing (4).
4.
Remove spring (5) and use handle (6) to remove
cartridge (7) from housing (4). Turn the cartridge
back and forth and lift up on it to loosen it from the
housing.
5.
Remove brace (8) from cartridge (7) and turn the
cartridge over.
CAUTION
Do not remove top screen (9) from the cartridge.
6.
Remove snap ring (10) from the cartridge with a
small screwdriver.
