NOTE
Lever is keyed to shaft and will come
loose as housing is removed.

Remove bolt (17), lever (15), key (16), and housing
(5) from shaft (14).

Loosen nut (18) and disconnect control assembly (11)
from housing (5).
7.
Remove lockwasher (19) and nut (18) from control
assembly (11). Discard lockwasher.

NOTE
Do not remove bearings unless inspection
shows replacement is necessary (TM 9-
214).
8.
Using an arbor press, remove bearings (20 and 21)

from housing (5).
