The solenoid switching action can be heard if operation is normal.Step 2.Check battery connection for continuity. Connect one lead of multimeter to battery terminal onsolenoid and the other lead to ground.Replace wire assembly on solenoid. Refer to paragraphs 7-12, 7-13 and 7-14.Step 3.Check the engine connection for continuity. Connect one lead of multimeter to solenoid terminaland one lead to ground.Replace solenoid wire assembly if needle does not move.
