DIFFERENTIAL LOCK PRESSURE CHECK

WARN I N G
When testing and adjusting the transmission and powertrain, move the machine to an
area clear of obstructions, with safe ventilation for the exhaust. Sudden movement of the
machine or release of oil under pressure can cause injury to persons on or near the
machine. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to personnel.
N OT E
Care must be taken to ensure that fluidsare contained during performance of inspection,
maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid
with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any
component containing fluids. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and
mandates.
Operator must be present and seatedin the cab during this entire test.
1. Start and idle the engine, and synchronize left steering joystick (TM 5-3805-293-10).
2. Operate the machine until the transmission oil is at operating temperature of 176 18F (80 -8C)
(TM 5-3805-293-10).
3. Stop machine (TM 5-3805-293-10) on hard, level surface. Engage park brake (TM 5-3805-293-10). Shut off
engine (TM 5-3805-293-10).
4. Remove dust cap (Figure 45, Item 2) from test port (Figure 45, Item 1).
