N OT E
Care must be taken to ensure that fluidsare contained during performance of inspection,
maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid
with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any
component containing fluids. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and
mandates.
Operator must be present and seatedin the cab during this entire test.
1. Operate machine until transmission oil is at operating temperature of 176 18F (80 -8C). Refer to
TM 5-3805-293-10.
2. Stop machine on hard, level surface. Place transmission control switch in NEUTRAL position
(TM 5-3805-293-10). Shut off engine (TM 5-3805-293-10). Place blocks in front of and behind tires
(TM 5-3805-293-10).
3. Engage parking brake (TM 5-3805-293-10).
4. Remove two bolts (Figure 1, Item 2), washers (Figure 1, Item 3), drain hose (Figure 1, Item 5), and bracket
(Figure 1, Item 4) from cover (Figure 1, Item 1).
