Always inspect the harness connectorsthat are involved in the circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical
circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure,
and that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a con-
nection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic code
is active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Test for Active Code.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0006). Select
1482-03 or 1482-04 Code Active -
Troubleshoot 1482-03 or 1482-04
Implement 120M ECM and check
code first before proceeding.
if 1482-03 or 1482-04 is active.
1482-03 or 1482-04 Code Not Active
- Proceed to step 2.
2. Using the MSD (WP 0006). Select  2154-03 Code Active - Proceed to
Implement 120M and verify 2154- Test Step 2.
03 is active.
2154-03 Code Not Active -
Troubleshooting complete.
Test Step 2. Test 10 Volt Power
Supply Voltage to Sensor.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
2. Disconnect cab lower wiring har-
ness connector PE-C8 (WP 0009,
Figure 50) from RH joystick con-
nector J1 (WP 0283).
3. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the ON posi-
tion.
4. Using digital multimeter, test for
Voltage Between 9.6 to 10.4 Volts -
