2296-03 is not active.
2296-03 Code Not Active - Trouble-
shooting complete.
Test Step 3. Test for Shorted Rear
Chassis Wiring Harness.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
2. Disconnect rear chassis wiring
FA-C22 harness connector (WP
0009, Figure 47) from cab lower
wiring P-C69 harness connector
(WP 0009, Figure 46) (WP 0188).
3. Turn battery disconnect switch
and ignition switch to the ON posi-
tion.
4. Check for Active code 2296-03 or
Code 2296-03 Remains Active - Pro-
2296-05 in All Wheel Drive 120M
ceed to Test Step 4.
ECM (WP 0006).
Code 2296-03 Becomes Inactive
and 2296-05 Becomes Active -
Replace rear chassis wiring harness
(WP 0188).
Connect AX-C1 (WP 0009, Figure
100) on AC-C1 (WP 0009, Figure
101) and close access door.
Install front engine enclosure access
panel (WP 0226).
Proceed to step 5.
5. Using the MSD (WP 0006), select
2296-03 Code Active - Repeat trou-
All Wheel Drive 120M and verify
bleshooting code from the beginning.
2296-03 is not active.
2296-03 Code Not Active - Trouble-
shooting complete.
