Always inspect the harness connectorsthat are involved in the circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical
circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure,
and that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a
connection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic
code is active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0006). Select
Diagnostic Code 1785-03 is Active -
Engine ECM C6.6 120M and ver-
Proceed to step 2.
ify 1785-03 is active.
2. Turn ignition switch to the OFF
position.
3. Disconnect the EA-C7 (WP 0009,
Figure 24) harness connector
from intake manifold pressure
sensor.
4. Install a jumper wire between har-
ness connector EA-C7 (WP 0009,
Figure 24) terminal 3 and ground.
N OT E
Wait at least 30 seconds in order for diagnostic codes to become active.
5. Using the MSD (WP 0006), select
1785-03 Remains Active - Proceed
Engine ECM C6.6 120M, and
to step 10.
check if diagnostic code 1785-04
1785-04 Becomes Active - ECM and
is active.

6. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
7. Remove jumper wire from EA-C7

and ground.
8. Install a jumper wire between
intake manifold pressure sensor
harness connector EA-C7 (WP
0009, Figure 24) terminal 2 and
terminal 3.
