Test Step 2. Test Engine ECM and
Engine Control Wiring Harness.
1. Turn the ignition switch and bat-
tery disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
2. Remove jumper wire from har-
ness connector EA-C15 (WP
0009, Figure 29).
3. Disconnect Engine ECM harness
connector EA-C1 (WP 0009, Fig-
ure 3) from Engine ECM J2.
4. Using a digital multimeter, test for
Continuity - (Resistance should be
less than 5.0 Ohms) - Proceed to
continuity between EA-C15 (WP
step 5.
0009, Figure 29) harness connec-
tor terminal 2, and Engine ECM
No Continuity - Engine control wiring
harness connector EA-C1 (WP
harness is open, replace engine
0009, Figure 3) terminal 17.
control wiring harness (WP 0080).
There should be good continuity.
