The fuel injectors are electro-mechanical devices. High-pressure fuel is
continuously available to each injector. The Engine Electronic Control
Module (ECM) determines the correct time and duration to activate
each injector.
Test Step 1. Check for Fuel Injector

Injectors 1-3 share a common ground in the Engine ECM. A failure of
the ECM could cause all three codes to appear.
Injectors 4-6 share a common ground in the Engine ECM. A failure of
the ECM could cause all three codes to appear.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0006). Select
Engine ECM C6.6 120M.
2. Start engine or attempt to start
engine.
3. At the MSD check if all three diag- 0001-05, 0002-05, and 0003-05
nostic codes: 0001-05, 0002-05,

and 0003-05 are active.
Replace the Engine ECM (WP 0067).
