Electronic control sends a signal and electronic control expects a response.

Control receives no response or response is incorrect. Some possible causes

There is a failure of electronic control.
There is a failure on data link.
There are one or more controls with mismatched software.

An electrical signal is not within limits for a specific mechanical condition.
