DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
AIR COMPRESSOR
REMOVE AIR COMPRESSOR
Do not disconnect the air lines until the air
pressure in the system is at zero.
1. Open the drain valve on the air tank.
2. Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
3. Remove water lines (1) and (4) and air inlet line
(3) from the engine Disconnect air line (2) from
the air compressor.
4. Disconnect air line (5) from the air compressor
governor.
5. Disconnect oil line from under the air
compressor.
6. Remove all bolts to remove air compressor and
gasket from the timing gear cover (6).

INSTALL AIR COMPRESSOR
1. Put the gasket and air compressor in position
on the timing gear cover (6) and install the bolts
to hold them.
2. Install water lines (1) and (4) and air inlet line
(3) to the air compressor. Connect air line (2)
to the air compressor.
3. Connect air line (5) to the air compressor gover-
nor and oil line under the air compressor.
4. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the cor-
rect level.
5. Close the drain valve on the air tank.
