TRANSMISSION HYDRAULIC CONTROLSSYSTEMS OPERATIONTM 5-3805-263-14&P-2TRANSMISSION HYDRAULIC CONTROLSThe basic components of the transmission oilsystem are oil reservoirs (11), (12), and (13), oilpump (7), oil filter (1), main relief valve (4),selector valve group (10) and the differential lockvalve (9).The hydraulic controls are: Main relief valve (4),selector valve group (10) and differential lock valve(9). The location of the selector valve group isinside the transmission housing. Selector valvegroup (10) sends pressure oil to the proper clutchesfor the selection of a speed (six forward and sixreverse). The location of the main relief valve (4)and the differential lock valve (9) is on the outsideof the transmission housing. The main relief valve(4) controls the pressure in the hydraulic system. The differential lock valve (9) controls the lock-upclutch in the differential.2-15
