ENGINE DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY OIL FILTER BASE TM 5-3805-263-14&P-2 3. Put gasket, tube assembly (2), plate (4) and wire in position and install two bolts (3) to hold them in place. Install tube (5). 5. Put clean engine oil on the filter seal. Install filter (6) on the base. Tighten the filter ¾ turn more after the seal makes contact with the filter base. DISASSEMBLE OIL FILTER BASE start by: a) remove oil filter base 1. Remove three bolts (1) and covers (2) for the bypass valve. 2. Remove the springs and plungers from the base. ASSEMBLE OIL FILTER BASE 1. Install plunger (4), spring (3), cover (2) and bolts (1) for the cooler bypass valve in the oil filter base. 2. Install plunger (7), spring (6), cover (5) and the bolts for the oil filter bypass valve in the oil filter base. end by: a) install oil filter base 1-123
