11. Disconnect harness connector
FE-C1 (WP 0009, Figure 27) from
harness connector FA-C18 (WP
0009, Figure 28).
12. Install a jumper wire between har-
ness connector FA-C18 (WP
0009, Figure 28) terminal 9 and
ground.
13. Turn the ignition switch to the ON
position.

Other diagnostic codes may become active during this step; ignore
these codes.
14. Using MSD (WP 0006), select
1589-03 Remains Active - Proceed
