1. Turn ignition switch to the OFF
position.
2. Disconnect EA-C11 (WP 0009,
Figure 1) harness connector from
EF-C1 (WP 0009, Figure 2) at the
valve cover base.
3. Install jumper wire at the EA-C11
(WP 0009, Figure 1) harness con-
nector between terminal 1 and
terminal 2.
4. Turn ignition switch to the ON
position.
N OT E
Wait at least 30 seconds in order for diagnostic codes to become active.
5. Start engine or attempt to start
engine.
6. At the MSD check that diagnostic
0002-06 Becomes Active - ECM and
code 0002-06 is active.

proceed to Test Step 3.

7. Turn OFF the ignition and battery
disconnect switch.
8. Disconnect ECM harness connec-

nector between terminal 1 and
terminal 2 in place.
