Air from the air filters enters the turbocharger, which increases engine efficiency. The air is compressed and heated
to about 300F (150C) before the air is forced to the aftercooler. As the air flows through the aftercooler, the
temperature of the compressed air lowers to about 120F (50C). Cooling of the inlet air increases combustion
efficiency.
